Turning

Circular shape parts are produced by this process. Here work pieces are made to rotate about their own axis by the lathe. The movement of work piece against cutting edge of the tool will lead in the removal of the chips. Here the main spindle mounted on the barigs transmits the rotary motion to the work piece. The carriage part supports and carries the turning tool and also contains the feed mechanism and its adjustments. Support for turning long work pieces is provided by the tail stock. The lathe bed carries all lathe parts which is supported by the pedestals. Belt drive and gear drive provided for setting different revolutions.
